Schools completing this level receive a certificate acknowledging their commitment to creating a dog-friendly atmosphere. Level 1:Dog Owner Training Participants will focus on understanding the responsibilities of owning a dog in a school setting. This includes: - Ensuring the dog’s well-being in the school environment - Managing dog behaviour in busy or stressful situations - Teaching others about responsible dog ownership Level 2: Dog Handler Training This module focuses on preparing participants to become effective dog handlers within schools, allowing them to lead sessions and interact with pupils alongside their dogs. Key topics include: - Advanced handling techniques - Developing dog-based activities that promote pupil engagement and learning - Ensuring the safety and well-being of both pupils and dogs during interactions Level 3: Whole School CPD Training This level is designed for school-wide training, ensuring that all staff are prepared to work in a dog-inclusive environment. Participants will learn: - How to create a school culture that supports positive dog interactions - Implementing safety protocols for pupils and staff - Integrating dogs into educational activities in a meaningful and impactful way
