š¾ A Special Return to Greenvale Primary School š¾
Today I had the absolute pleasure of returning to Greenvale Primary School in Chatham ā a school that holds a truly special place in my heart. š§”
Greenvale has been part of The Dog Mentor family for over 12 years, supporting the programme from the very beginning. Itās where so much of this journey was shaped, and being back there today brought back so many memories ā especially of the early days when I first started out with Jock.
I spent time catching up with their three wonderful Dog Mentors ā Woody, Luna and Mabel ā all doing incredible work to support the wellbeing of the children. Their amazing owners, Mandy and Jo, are not only long-time champions of the programme but also dear friends and truly inspiring leaders. It was also lovely to see Lisa, another valued member of the team, and to reconnect with the one and only Carrie, who has been such a huge influence on this journey right from the very start.
Whatās always impressed me about Greenvale is how deeply embedded their approach is ā not just with their dogs, but across everything they do. Today I got to see their brilliant biodiversity work, supported by the RHS, including a brand new pond and squirrel and bat boxes that help bring nature into childrenās learning every day.
This team continues to lead with heart, vision and commitment ā and I left feeling incredibly proud and inspired by everything theyāre doing.
