Back where it all began!

🐾 A Very Special Day at Leigh Academy High Halstow 🐾

Today was a truly meaningful moment for me as I returned to Leigh Academy High Halstow — the very place where The Dog Mentor began 13 years ago. 🧡

This school holds such a special place in my heart. It’s where the idea was born, where the first connections were made, and where I saw first-hand just how powerful the bond between a child and a dog can be.

I was proud to welcome two new Dog Mentors to the programme today: Bertie, with his owner Stacey, and Agnes, with her owner Helena. Both dogs will make beautiful connections with the pupils, and I know they’ll carry forward the legacy of calm, trust, and emotional support that started right here all those years ago.
