Bella's impact reaches much further than her school!

🐾 Bella the Celebrity Dog Mentor at Abercanaid Community School! 🐾

Today, Jenny Sleath visited the absolutely lovely Abercanaid Community School near Merthyr Tydfil to catch up with Bella, one of our well-established Dog Mentors. 🐶💙

Bella joined the programme back in 2021, and I’ve loved watching her journey ever since — in fact, her puppy photo proudly features on the side of my Dog Mentor van! That’s how special she is to us.

She’s supported by her wonderful owner Judith and fantastic handler Heidi, and she’s not only doing brilliant work in school but also has a real presence in the wider community. Bella’s got celebrity status in Abercanaid, and it’s easy to see why!

Today, Jenny had the chance to accompany infant pupil Lily Rose on a wellbeing walk with Bella — a special treat for being so brave with her eye drops. Moments like that are what this programme is all about.
