š¾ A Special Return to Heronsbridge School š§”
Jenny Sleath and I went back to Heronsbridge School in Bridgend today for two very special reasons. First of all, we had the chance to catch up with the fantastic team there and spend time with four of their Dog Mentors ā Charlie, Oakleigh, Bernie and Ruby.
The school joined the programme in 2021 and seeing the impact they continue to have is truly amazing. They have achieved so much over the last five years and it really is an absolutely superb SEN setting. Seeing the childrenās eyes light up when theyāre with their Dog Mentors truly touches my heart and shows exactly why this work matters so much.
We were also there to begin filming for a new video that will showcase The Dog Mentor, celebrate everyone involved in the programme and bring to life the real science behind our recently published research paper.
A very special day and one that perfectly reflects what The Dog Mentor is all about. š§”
