Frank the college dog!

🐾 Welcome Frank – Our First Dog Mentor at Coleg y Cymoedd! 🐾

Today I was in Tonypandy at Coleg y Cymoedd – Campws y Rhondda to welcome a very special new addition to The Dog Mentor family — Frank, the college’s first ever Dog Mentor! 🐶🧡

Frank is supported by his lovely owner Carolyn, and it’s already clear that he’s going to bring a calm, reassuring presence to the students and wider college community.

It was also fantastic to be joined by Jenny Sleath, who came along to offer her insights and support as we begin this exciting new chapter. Having her experience in post-16 settings on hand made the day even more meaningful.

It’s fantastic to see more and more further education settings recognising the powerful impact a Dog Mentor can have — supporting wellbeing, emotional resilience, and building connection in such an important stage of a young person’s journey.
