š¾ Winnie Joins the Dog Mentor Team at Chetwynd! š§”
Jenny Sleath was back at Chetwynd Primary School today for her second day, this time working with Winnie and her owner Jodie Marston.
Jenny said that Winnie is another dog with a big personality, demonstrating real poise and confidence in her work with both staff and pupils. It was wonderful to see how naturally she engaged with the school community.
It was also great to see the schoolās original Dog Mentor, Ted, who was trained in 2021, on gate duty with his owner, headteacher Steph. Chetwynd is a school that truly embraces outdoor learning through its OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) initiatives and now has three wonderful Dog Mentors supporting the school.
Thereās no doubt that all three dogs will thrive in such a caring, nurturing environment. š§”
