Jenny Sleath checks in at Haverfordwest High VC School!

🐾 Duggee the Nurturer at Haverfordwest High VC School in Pembrokeshire 🐾

Today, Jenny Sleath visited Haverfordwest High VC School to catch up with the calm and self-assured Duggee — one of our brilliant Dog Mentors making a real impact in school life. 🐶💙

It was lovely to reconnect with Duggee’s owner Lisa, and to meet with Assistant Head Kerry and handler Lisa to see the fantastic work Duggee continues to do — especially in the school’s nurture provision, where he offers a steady presence for pupils who need it most.

Duggee also plays an important role during primary transition visits, helping new Year 7 pupils feel more at ease as they settle into secondary school. He’s become a trusted friend to many — but keeps his kisses reserved for his mummy, Lisa, reminding us all of the importance of love, connection and ownership in the school environment.
