🐾 Day Two at Heronsbridge – Oakley in Action 🐾

While I was busy welcoming Alfie at Buntingford First School, Jenny Sleath spent her second day at Heronsbridge Special School in Brigend, Wales — this time with the incredible Oakley. 🐶

Oakley is a calm, empathetic Dog Mentor with a wealth of experience, and today he worked closely with Alex, a KS4 student who is bravely working through his fear of dogs. Watching the quiet trust forming between them was something really special.

In the photo, you’ll spot Paula, Oakley’s fantastic handler, who supports so many incredible interventions across the school. Her work — and Oakley’s — continues to show just how powerful and personal the impact of a Dog Mentor can be.
